64-year-old (name withheld in order to protect privacy) was a ninth-grade world history and geography teacher in several different schools, both in the U.S. and internationally, for quite some time.  What parents at schools like the American Nicaraguan School in Managua didn’t know was that he was drugging young boys (12-14 years old), molesting them, and then capturing the act with photographs.  There are pictures of at least 90 different boys that were discovered on a flash drive belonging to him and turned in to the U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua just before he committed suicide.  The FBI is still attempting to identify and locate many of these victims, including students at various schools in Iran, Lebanon, Spain, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Venezuela, and London from 1973-2013 (all in all, 10 different schools around the globe).

Lewd acts with a child (CA Penal Code 288) addresses what is more commonly known as ‘child molestation.’  The law defines such an act as having touched a child anywhere on his or her body with the intent of sexual gratification.  If the child in question is under the age of 14 years, then offenders face up to 8 years in state prison.  As he used force, however, he may have spent up to 10 years in a California State Prison.

Authorities report that members of his school district confronted him concerning the flash drive and the images found therein and admitted to having been molested himself as a child.  He made a full confession, even admitting to having given the boys sleeping pills before he molested them.  Anyone who believes themself to have been a victim should contact the FBI.
