San Francisco Marijuana Robbery Averted

​A dramatic hostage situation at a San Francisco city-licensed marijuana grow-house ended in the arrest of an unnamed suspect Wednesday. It seems that 4 masked gunmen attempted to rob the warehouse in the Bayview area on Jennings, near Wallace Avenue, but were stymied by a report of the incident.In response, one of the suspects took four of the grow-house workers hostage in an attempt to avoid arrest and held them for several hours before a SWAT team, including a canine unit, was deployed. Alameda County Theft Oakland Museum

Andrea Taray Franklin, a felon with over 10 convictions for crimes related to theft, has been arrested in connection with the burglary of the Oakland Museum of California. The same gold inlaid jewelry box, created by a California artisan somewhere between 1869 and 1878 and worth more than $805,000, was stolen once before – in 1978. Alameda County prosecutors now believe that Franklin was responsible for both burglaries and other items, like a few gold nuggets and historic pistols, have never been recovered.
