Marie Ferreboeuf
Attorney at Law
The Most Prepared Lawyer in the Courtroom
Marie Ferreboeuf has successfully defended hundreds of clients facing serious criminal charges. As a former San Francisco Public Defender, Marie was required to manage up to 200 cases per month! Marie handled this large case load competently and compassionately.
When asked about her experience as a public defender, Marie called it “wildly frustrating…yet deeply satisfying.” It was satisfying because she truly enjoyed helping those in need. But it could be frustrating because there simply weren't enough hours in the day to help all of her clients at her high standards.
Today her clients benefit from her depth of experience and intimate understanding of the local system, but without the time limitations that a public defender’s case load imposes.
Community Involvement Assisting Women and Children
Marie devotes her free time to assisting those in need. This is demonstrated by her long term commitment as a board member and coordinator for the Legal Services for Prisoners with Children and the National Network for Women in Prison. These organizations advocate for the civil rights and empowerment of incarcerated parents, children, family members and people at risk for incarceration.
Ms. Ferreboeuf’s approach is simple. By caring enough to understand every detail of her client’s case, she is always the most prepared attorney in the courtroom. Often this is the difference between jail and freedom.
Marie Ferreboeuf received a BA from UC Berkeley where she was on the Dean's List. She received her law degree from New College of Law where she was awarded a State Bar Exceptional Merit Scholarship.
